Fire Chief Experienced Problems Locating Properties

The Mastodon Township Fire Chief is asking for our residents’ help. He and his crew have experienced problems locating properties when emergency services are required. It would be a great help if every resident had a visible, reflective fire number at the head of their driveway. The fire numbers need to be purchased from the Iron County Construction Code Office.

The number can be ordered online as follows:

1. Go to ironmi.org
2. Click on the “Departments” tab on top
3. Drop down and click on “Construction Code”
4. Scroll to the bottom and select “Building Inspections” tab on the left
5. Scroll down and select “House Number Applications”
6. You will now see the House Number Application. You will need your property/parcel number found on your tax bill. You can also call the Construction Code Office at 906-875-3102 between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
